ALL PERIODS:
Copy the questions on a piece of folder paper. Read chapter 5, and take notes on each question. Be prepared with a response for Wednesday’s Fishbowl Discussion.
If you are ODD, do the ODD numbered questions.
If you are EVEN, do the EVEN numbered questions.
- Where have you heard Custer before?
- List all the examples of epithet that you can find in the chapter on a poster paper. For example, “half-breed Indian” –> “half-breed” describes “Indian” (44). It is a descriptive name that describes a thing or person. Make sure to cite all of them.
- What does Zits mean when he says “Hell is Red River, Idaho, in 1975”? (47)
- Why are the two Indian guys talking to the white FBI?
- On page 50, why does Zits (in Hank’s body) say, “In my head, I scream, Tell Them, Junior, tell them everything!” (50). Why does he want Junior to tell them?
- On page 51, why do you think it was so easy for Art to kill Junior?
- What does Elk mean when he says, “‘He’s a traditionalist”? (52)
- How do you think Zits (in Hank’s body) feels at the end of the chapter? What would you do? Why?
